Vinyasa is a flowing, dynamic methodical sequence of poses. Sometimes called "Vinyasa Flow," this class involves synchronizing the breath with the movement. Continuously flowing from posture-to-posture improves your cardio as well as your awareness of the mind-body connection.
Cardio is an important part of any fitness routine. The continuous sequence of Vinyasa is great for getting your heart rate going, putting positive stress on the heart to strengthen the efficiency and performance. Down Dog is the resting pose in the Flow sequence, and serves as a transition into other, more challenging poses. And, add the element of a heated room and you have a great class to work up a sweat and burn away those extra pounds.
