I became interested in Yoga through a friend my junior year at Ball State University (2012). I was dealing with a lot in all aspects of my life and I needed a healthy way to cope. The more I practiced, the more I learned and experienced the endless benefits Yoga had on my mind, body and spirit. I started to practice yoga on and "off the mat" with self care and meditation. My family and friends began to notice the positive influence yoga had on me, inside and out and they asked me to teach them more about it. By this time, I had created my own daily self-practice and knew that teaching would deepen my practice. I could also feel that Yoga served a bigger purpose in my life.

In October of 2016, I received my YogaFit Foundations Certificate from Butler University to teach Hatha Yoga. In 2017, I received my YogaFit Communications certification. I continued to teach part time while I held another full-time job. In 2019, I started practicing at Sol regularly and remembered the reason I began practicing Yoga in the first place. I decided it was time to go through teacher training to align myself with my purpose again and I received my 200 RYT from Sol in 2021.

Yoga teaches me how to live my life in a more meaningful way. Teaching and practicing yoga continues to change my life for the better every day. I love to be able to help others find their own path to a positive lifestyle and self-acceptance.
